Monchuri Full Bengali Movie Download Monchuri is a 1995 Bengali film directed by Milan Bhowmik. It is the story of Monchuri, a young boy living in an orphanage in Dhaka, who dreams of becoming the best dhamsa player. It tells how he becomes an international dhamsa star and returns to Bangladesh to take care of his mother after her husband dies. The film stars newcomers Akash Das Gupta and Mithun Chakraborty as Monchuri, with Swastika Mukherjee playing his mother. The music of the film is by Anindya Sengupta and soundtracks were released by HMV and Universal Music.
The soundtrack for "Monchuri" was composed by Anindya Sengupta and the songs were written by Kirtan Ghosh, Javed Akhtar, Harindranath Chattopadhyay and Bappi Lahiri. The songs' lyrics were penned by Kharaj Mukhtyar, Indrani Dutta, Bappi Lahiri and Kirtan Ghosh.
The music of "Monchuri" was first released on HMV in March 1995. Bollywood superstar Mithun Chakraborty received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for this film. Rajat Rakshit of "The Hindu" wrote, "The soundtrack is fascinating, almost all the songs are sung by unknown voices and they truly deserve a pat on the back. The lyrics are good too without sounding like you’re forcing them to rhyme every line."
A sequel named "Monchuri Number Two" was also made in 2008, directed by Anindya Sinha and starring Shakib Khan and Irrfan Khan in lead roles.
